Like all Cooking Mama releases, Cooking Mama 3: Shop & Chop is a collection of frantic mini-games designed to test the players skill in the kitchen. Shop & Chop's tally of these mini-games weighs in at a whopping 200+, and cover every aspect of meal preparation, including mixing, frying, chopping, baking, slicing, grilling and more. Inputs during these are mostly registered by using the DS/DSi stylus, or the user's finger on the touchscreen, with some dishes only requiring the completion of a single mini-game, while others consist of several. Along the way Mama will always be with players, offering guidance and support, and in the case of a particularly poorly prepared meal, even a little bit of disappointment meant to inspire the player to do better. Shop & Chop contains more than 80 recipes. in all, and includes multiplayer game support for up to four players in single-cart DS wireless download play. Game Modes
Cooking Mama 3: Shop & Chop also contains gameplay variety through the several different game modes included. There are six of these in all, combining favorites from earlier game releases, and a few brand new ones. Modes available include: - Let’s Cook - Even if you make mistakes Mama will help you complete the recipe so you can continue cooking.
- Let’s Eat - You’re on your own without Mama’s help. Now it’s just you, the food and your hard-to-satisfy friends who will try out your creations and judge you based on how they taste. Mistakes made during preparation will affect the final taste so use caution in the kitchen
- Combine and Create - Mama’s been teaching you for some time now, and she’s decided it’s time for you to exercise your creative muscle. Take steps and ingredients from different recipes and create your very own concoctions.
- Let’s Shop - Did you ever wonder where Mama gets all those fantastic ingredients? Head to the store to pick up the things you’ll need to prepare so many delicious dishes.
- Time Challenge - Play against up to 3 friends using local Wi-Fi play. Face-off in timed cooking challenges to determine who is the fastest chef
- Picture Diary - Keep a scrapbook of your favorite dishes in this digital picture diary.
Key Game Features - Create 80 new recipes including: chili con carne, mushroom quiche, Eggs Benedict, tulip chicken, pumpkin gnocchi, and many more.

 Mama is back in the Kitchen and better than ever |

Okay in a review of Cooking Mamma 2 I compared it to The Godfather part 2 because it was one of the best sequels I have played. But we all know how bad the third film in a series is. Spider Man 3, Shrek the Third even the Godfather Part Three was didn't live up to expectations. So you'd probably think Cooking Mama's 3rd DS outing is really bad. WRONG!!!! It trumps the first two games by doing two things. One Staying true to the first two's formulas and Two adding a shopping feature.
The gameplay is the same play mini games to cook food but there is a twist. In the let's shop mode you shop for items trying to avoid customers who will lead to mini games themselves. For example if you bump into the store stocker you will have to play a mini game where you have to pick up his items. This alone is worth the 27 dollar price tag just to see a ticked off store stocker yelling at you to pick up his vegetables.
There is also new recipies like candy apples, and marshmallows(perfect for a halloween play session) and creme brulee.
I love this series not only for it's constant replay value but because it realy tends to trancend genre fans. You can be a Halo fan and still play cooking mama because you can take the same quick reflexes used for that game and apply it to a recipie in this game.
So pick it up sit down and play, Mama needs some more help and only you can do it. |

| Worth the money. Many new recipes to try, many options to play. Having it since first day release, and still have long way to finish the game. I like it very much, so as my 8 years old daughter. |

I've purchased MANY games for my daughters. This is one game they definately play with. Almost as much as Mario Bros.
They like the contest games between the 3 of them (5, 6 & 9).
Definately Worth the Money.
(Sorry I can't say anything about the game. I just know that if the kids like it, I LOVE it!) |

| Got this for my 4 (almost 5) year old for Christmas and we both really like it. We've not played either of the other two Cooking Mamas so I can't compare but we really like this one. |

| I got this for my daughter for Christmas. She wouldn't stop playing with it!! I recommend this to everyone. Even adults!! I played myself it's quite fun for a grown-up. |
